Nominate Candidates for the Ashoka Fellowship

If you wish to nominate a social entrepreneur or nominate yourself for the Ashoka Fellowship, please follow the steps below.

   1. Review the information provided on Selection Criteria and Eligibility.
   2. Download the Candidate Nomination form.
   3. Submit the filled out form to with the subject as 'Nomination of ___.'
   4. Receive an email from Ashoka acknowledging receipt of the nomination.

Unsure if the nominee qualifies? - Send in the nomination form as a suggestion, with as much information as you have.

Deadline - There is no deadline since it is an open nomination process.

Next Steps - The Southern Africa Ashoka team will review the nomination form and follow-up with the candidate directly, if he or she appears to meet the criteria.

Timeline - Depending on where the candidate is in his or her work, it may take anywhere from a few months to a few years for a candidate to move through the entire selection process since Ashoka looks for Fellows who are at a certain stage of their career.
